London Wasps
About London Wasps
With a long and prolific history behind them and a powerful position on the current rugby charts, London Wasps are one of the most favorite and energetic rugby clubs among fans. Based in Adams Park that has a capacity of 10,510 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, London Wasps are derivations from the Wasps Football Club in 1867 that first started at the now non-operational Eton and Middlesex Tavern in North London. The Waspies, as they are also known, feature a wealth of brilliant and extremely skilled players that have earned the club many title victories.
In the past decade alone, London Wasps have claimed at least one of each of the chief European knock-out tournaments or competitions. The club features in the English rugby club play-offs, The Aviva Premiership, the Amlin Challenge Cup (European knock-out competition) and the LV= Cup (an Anglo-Welsh contest). In total, the club has won the Aviva Premiership on six instances, the Anglo-Welsh Club on three occasions and the Heineken Cup on two occasions. The Waspies play most of their matches at home in Adams Park but they also play occasionally at Twickenham, the home of English Rugby.
For many years now, the London Wasps have been amongst the best in the Rugby arena and this has helped them to clinch countless cups and titles, each victory relished by their fans. It's little wonder that there are so many people who choose to see them live in action as they take the field and showcase the game of rugby in spectacular fashion.
