The University of London is the largest university in UK, with over 180,090 students enrolled currently, both campus-based and external. University of London is based in Russell Square, London. Its roots go back to the 1836, where a Royal Charter instigated the merging of London University and King's College to form present University of London. It is currently a group of 19 self-governing highly reputed colleges and hence, recognized as the world leader of education!
It has 19 separate institutions, 31 affiliates and 12 research institutes. The university owns 180 buildings in Russell Square and many others. The University of London offers an enormous range of courses from Diplomas, taught and research postgraduate degrees to PhDs and MPhil. This university also offers quite many intercollegiate degrees along with distant learning, which is one reason for its humungous popularity.
