About London Business School
The London Business school is a constituent college of the University of London with a prestigious MBA program that is highly sought after. It concentrates on postgraduates programmers in finance and management alongside its MBA program.
The college was first established in 1964 and started off with a collaboration between University College London and King's College London. More recently it has formed a nexus in Dubai with and executive MBA program.
Like other colleges of the University of London the Business school is highly selective making it one of the most competitive business schools for admission in the world. In order to apply applicants for the full-time MBA have to have GMAT scores higher that 694.
Thus the student body is selective and small with only 800 students however coming from 80 different countries. These students form an essential part of the LBS experience and thought they maybe post-graduate students they have a lot to offer in terms of extra-curricular activities. The chance to study once more after being in the workforce also affords oppurtunities to explore other areas of interest or try something new.
Toastmasters, speaker tournaments etc, are activities organized and complement the academic spotlight in the school, and provide chances to network with other members of the student body.
Clubs range form philanthropy to Consulting, to Family Business, to regional clubs such as the Chinese interest Club, or the Middle-Eastern Club. Various sporting activities are also on offer such as Golf, Judo, Rugby, Rowing and Football.
