About Shakespeare Houses

The Shakespeare Houses located at the Stratford-upon-Avon which is run by the charity, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust; beautifully lay out the life-story of William Shakespeare. These 5 houses still preserve much of the original nature, hence making your visit a true depiction of how it would have been in the 1560s!

All these houses showcase the furnishings, paintings, cloth, domestic items etc. belonging to the Shakespeare family. The Birthplace home that Shakespeare spent his boyhood is furnished in a way of 1570s. The Mary Arden's House depicts the Elizabethan lifestyle. The Anne Hathaway's Cottage shows the romantic surroundings of how William wooed his beloved Anne. The Hall's Croft is the stylish house that Shakespeare's eldest daughter lived in with her husband.  The last house, Nash's House and New Place, is where the great poet and writer's life story ends, with his death in 1616. It also holds a collection of items that could be viewed only by appointment. Surely, it must be quite a delight see these rare items!!! There are also fun activities for the kids.     

The opening times are from 09.00-17.00 daily. Different ticket packages from £8-£49 are offered for adults, kids, families and groups for each or all houses, including fun activities.
