About The Queens Gallery
The Queens Gallery is situated in the Buckingham Palace, on the west front . Previously this site held a privately owned chapel, which was bombed during the Second World War. Later, it was renovated to house these rare and beautiful arts!
This is a permanent space provided for the rotating exhibitions of the “Royal Collection†since 1962. These are treasures owned by the Queen in trust of the Nation. It brings about an exquisite collection of art including paintings from Rubens, Vermeer and Van Dyck, ceramics, furniture, jewelry, silver, gold and so forth acquired by the Royal rulers over 500 years. At a time, there are about 450 items exhibited! Due to space and security, all collected items are not exhibited all at once.
The Queens Gallery is open to the public on a daily basis from 10.00 to 17.30 hrs. The Queens Gallery has quite a few holidays which changes depending on the annual calendar. Hence, it is best to check before visiting. An entry fee is usually charged with a choice of certain packages. However, London Pass holders could usually get in free.
You could visit the Queens Gallery for a lovely one and a half hours of your day and have some quality time with your family exploring the art world.
