About Camden Arts Centre
The building of the Camden Arts Centre, situated in Arkwright Road, was initially a library that was built in 1897. Later, in 1960s this building was converted into an Art Centre. The Camden Arts Centre has its unique way of incorporating seeing the finished art, learning art and also the process of making art into the experience of its visitors. It pulls you into a magnificent world of art in every form and helps you look at things and life in a different perspective.
There are artist's talks, exhibitions, open studios, series of live art performances and workshops led by artists. They also provide a cafe to ensure a comfortable visit and a bookshop where quite a range of art books are available. In addition the centre also offers courses on sculpturing and drawing!
Admission to this Arts Centre is free of charge! It is open from 10.00am to 6.00pm from Tuesday to Sunday. However, on Wednesdays it is open till 9.00 pm, where free talks, live art performances and film screenings are held. The bookshop and the cafe are also open to make your evening quite an enjoyable one.
A visit to the Camden Arts Centre is something that you would not ever want to miss on!
