About Museum of London Docklands: Mudlarks Play Area
The Museum of London Docklands, lay out the history of London's river and its people. The collections are housed in the only remaining 19th century Georgian style warehouse, in the old Port of London Docks.
This is one museum that has gone out of the way to make history fun for kids. Mudlarks play area in this museum is one of the favourites among the children. The main reason is as it has a soft play section for the under 5s and also gives a very interactive experience to kids below 12, allowing them to pretend to weigh cargos, load tea clippers etc by themselves. The museum also offers sleepovers to kids and adults in the museum with a set of exciting activities.
The Museum of London is open daily 10.00am-6.00pm, however, is closed on the 24th-26th of December. Admission to children under 16, caretakers of persons with disabilities and NUS card holders are free. The annual adult ticket is £5 and the concessionary rate for the visitors above 60 years and unemployed is £3. These tickets allow unlimited visits throughout the year. They also offer 20% discount for pre-booked tickets for groups of more than 10 adults.
It would certainly be an overwhelming memory of childhood to your whole family!
