The Alton Towers theme park is divided into several areas and is placed in the shape of a horseshoe, around the tower and the 19th century garden. The areas are; Towers Street, Mutiny Bay, Katanga Canyon, Gloomy Wood, Forbidden Valley, Ug Land, Cloud Cuckoo Land, X-Sector, Adventure Land, Storybook Land and Old Macdonald's Farmyard. Since it is situated in a historic land of the country house of Earl of Shrewsbury, visiting the Alton Towers gives you the rare opportunity to admire historic art and at the same time enjoy yourselves taking exclusive thrilling rides! It also has a spa and very comfortable hotels to ease your stay and ensure every possible enjoyment.
The Alton tower operates from March to 1st November and opens from 10.00am onwards daily to varying times depending on the season. The easiest train line stations to the theme park are Derby and Stroke-on-Trent. The satellite navigation reference for Alton Towers is ST10 4DB. There are some ticket packages allowed, however, it is cheaper booking online.
